Sometimes panic attack symptoms will occur without warning and overwhelm a person quickly.On the other hand anxiety attack tends to be more of a gradual build up and the feeling is not quite as intense. If you can recognize them when they are coming, and remind yourself to take action against it. You will most likely not feel overwhelm and lost control, which would result in you being out of ideas as to what to do.

These attacks are nothing more than a series of physical reactions coming from some physiological triggers. For example if you are afraid of dogs, you may see a very large dog and immediately you get hot and sweaty and your heart starts to beat very fast. You then find it very hard to breath, you may also feel overwhelm and can’t move.
Next there is the fear of losing control…
Next there is the fear of losing control, this makes you feel like you’re going crazy. At this point things may seem out of whack, objects may seem closer or further than they are. Colors may seem to have different shades or patterns. By this time you may feel like your chest has a huge sledge hammer pounding you in it. It feels like someone just slam a Mack truck in your stomach.
You want to throw up or start crying, but there is a huge lump in your throat, now you are shaking and hyperventilating, you feel like you’re about to faint. By this time you’re getting dizzy because of the shallow breathing, you’re trying to walk away, but you feet feel so weird like you can’t think of what you’re doing.
You are now having severe lack of oxygen going to your brain
You are now having severe lack of oxygen going to your brain. You must sit down fast or you will die, this is what you are thinking, this is how you are feeling. Now can you see how the fear in your head sets off a chain reaction that create all these physical panic attack symptoms that causes this event we call Panic Attack. In a different situation with another person, it may have been different.

Take for example that I see this big dog, I’m afraid of the dog, I stopped, assessed the situation. I notice that the dog is on a leashed with its owner. I feel an adrenalin rush and need to urinate, so I turn around and went in the opposite direction to find the nearest rest room to urinate. When I’m finish I return to find that the very large dog and its owner have moved on. Problem solved.
